A natural
approach to whole-body healing
Chiropractic
helps people of all ages, sizes and conditions find safe solutions to
a variety of their health care problems and concerns.
Chiropractic
care is designed to restore
your body's ability to regulate
and heal
itself naturally. Without
drugs. Without surgery. It honors the wisdom of your body and has helped
millions enjoy relief and better health for more than a century.
It's a
scientific fact that your brain, spinal cord and the rest of your nerves
control every aspect of your body. Chiropractic provides results by
helping your nervous system work the way it should - helping to eliminate
the myriad of health problems that can result from hindered nerve links
between your brain and your body.
Chiropractic
care:
- Improves
the function of your nervous system which controls every aspect of
your body.
- Boosts
your immune system, enhancing your body's natural ability to ward
off infections and heal itself.
- Focuses
on the cause rather than the effect of an illness.
- Benefits
the whole body of people of all ages and conditions.
- Yields
long-term
health
benefits even after a condition has been
addressed.
Today,
more people are choosing chiropractic care first. Before drugs. Before
surgery. Before an illness or injury jeopardizes the quality of their
life. Isn't it time you found a chiropractic provider to help you and
your family? The Miami Valley Chiropractic Society can help.
Doctor
Training and Education
To become
a Doctor of Chiropractic, a candidate receives extensive, demanding
professional education of the same
level as medical doctors (MDs) and osteopaths (DOs). To receive the
Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC), candidates must complete
extensive undergraduate prerequisites, an additional 4 years of graduate-level
instruction, plus an in-depth, hands-on internship at an accredited
chiropractic institution. A Doctor of Chiropractic must have a comprehensive
knowledge of all systems of the body and diagnostic procedures in order
to thoroughly evaluate a patient, address disorders relating to the
spine, and determine the best strategy to effectively assist the patient
toward recovery.
Once this
training is complete, the Doctor of Chiropractic is required to pass
rigorous national and state chiropractic board examinations prior to
being granted a license to practice chiropractic.
